"DARK MUSTY CHAMBERS"

Come search the cellars

       How dark, so cold

How musty and damp,

       So timelessly old .  

Come search the cellar

       of time if you dare,

For one long dark night

       A look and a stare.

For there is thy soul

       of ages un-kept

with many a cobweb

     that has gone un-swept.

For toils and troubles

       Are in thy dark chambers

Where the light reveals demons

       As your best friends and neighbors.

So don't be suprised

       you sinner undone,

When the truth finally reveals

       The Devil has won.

For here is your calling

       you seeker of truth

to come to your sentence

       with absolute proof.

For what is my sentence

       You may bravely inquire,

Nothing but  ashes

For this God requires

So continue to seek

     And soon you shall find

That those dark musty chambers

       Are your heart, soul, and mind.

For there is a truth

       Which has wisely been said,

of those dark musty chambers

       That lie in your head

That what lies in the heart

       Soon goes to the head,

And flows from the tongue,

       To walk with the dead.

But don't be deceived,

       Ye masters of mind,

 For  demons shall dwell there

       And sin it shall bind.

But there is a release

       Which all can afford,

The old rugged cross,

        And the sin that it bore.

For on that old cross,

       was God's holy blood,

Which can fill those dark chambers

       With that life flowing flood.

And this flood it will cleanse

        with that old Holy Spirit,

Who  will lead, guide and give light,

       To all who come near it.

And if you will follow

       That wisdom of old,

I'm sure He would tell you

       What Jesus had told.

How those dark musty chambers

       Which empty are they,

Can be filled without measure,

       With no wait or delay.

Just simply confess,

       With all that you can,

That  the Holy Son Jesus,

       Was not  merely a man.

That those dark musty chambers

       Which  vile are they,

Shall come to believe,

       This moment, this day.

That those  dark must chambers,

       Which sin did contain,

Shall be laid on the one,

       Who was born to be slain.

So now you are saved

      By the blood of the bold.

And those dark musty chambers,

       Are filled with pure gold.

Oh what a feeling,

       A joy so divine.

To know you are His

       And HE also is mine.

So come fill your chambers,

       Which empty are they,

So simply. so easy,

        Accept Christ today.
