God’s Eternal Purpose

When we view the overall Purpose of God, what do we see? Do we merely see that God created a perfect world; placed perfect spirit beings in charge; watched it become contaminated in sin; went through thousands of years of turmoil (to include the rejection of His Son’s ministry on earth and His crucifixion); will do battle in the 3rd Heaven, Armageddon and Gog & Magog and is only left with a perfect world? According to Heb 2:7, angels are above men, which seems to put the first creation above the New One, where man will be in charge. Is this what we think of as God’s Eternal Purpose? In Ephesians 3:10, 11, is this what principalities and powers are being shown today as the manifold Wisdom of God? God forbid!

God is not only in all creation now, but He is transcendent above all creation, and existed in all of His perfections before ever there was a creation.”*

As we see in Eph. 1:4, 2 Tim 1:9, and Titus 1:2  God’s Eternal Purpose goes beyond the limits of creation to the Place Where God Dwelt before He created heaven and earth. Creation is simply the vehicle for the accomplishment of God’s Eternal Purpose, Which is above creation and all that pertains thereto. We shall see that the Wisdom of God is truly unsearchable in His Grand Design for the future, as it pertains to His Eternal Purpose and His restoration of creation, which culminates in the Revelation. Now, let us travel through the “Aionion” (Greek) or age times of His Word, starting before creation.Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance

Before the foundation of the world, while as yet His Spirit Body filled all space and time, God the Father Willed His Eternal Purpose. We might comment here that the great expanse of our milky way galaxy and all of our present universe is as a tiny speck in the Great Sea of God’s Secret Place, where septillions of light years mean nothing. God the Father Willed His Eternal Purpose, God the Son agreed to do the Work and God the Holy Spirit agreed to Communicate and Seal It (Eph. 1:1-23). In His foreknowledge, God saw the Great Price, but also saw that the Reward would be indescribably great, and well worth It. Humanly, or even angelically speaking, God’s Eternal Purpose was not possible. God desired a Perfect Mate with whom to share His Glory in The Uncreated Fourth Dimension, far above all others.

As typified by the story of Adam in Genesis 2, it was not good for God to be alone. He wanted a helpmeet. The endless expanse of God’s Secret Place (The Fourth Dimension) was searched to find a mate, but without success. The problem seemed unsurmountable, because a mate capable of sharing God’s Glory inside His Inner Sanctum must have a body capable of withstanding the Pure Fire of The Light of The Triune God (a slight glimmer of which could destroy whole galaxies) and she must be without beginning or end of life.

Where could God go to find such a mate, since His Secret Place extended forever in all facets of time and space? There was only One Place, she must come from Himself, as Eve came from Adam. She must be “of His Flesh, and of His Bones” (Eph. 5:30). She must be seated in heavenly places inside Christ Jesus (Eph. 2:6; Col 3:1-4), and she must share His Fullness (Eph. 1:22, 23) as His Wife (Eph. 5:32). She must be His Eternal Purpose (Eph. 3:11) and the Real Reason behind creation! How God accomplished this impossible Dream, with full Scriptural proof, will be covered as we proceed. This is the Great Mystery of Ephesians 5:31, and unlocks the Portals to the Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ.

As we saw in the definitions, God has three immediate families, just as we do when we marry. Our body, soul and spirit marries the body, soul and spirit of our mate. The church today is His family (or Mate) in the Fourth Dimension, far above all heavens, being chosen in Christ before creation. The Bride of Christ (the Holy City, New Jerusalem) will be His Mate in the created 3rd Heaven, being chosen from (or at) the foundation of the world. Finally, the calling of earthly or national Israel will be His Mate on the New Earth, although she has been unfaithful from the start, and will remain so until the Second Coming.

The Fourth Dimension is undefinable by human standards except as we experience the Love of God in Christ Jesus (Eph. 3:18, 19 - Breadth, Length, Depth and Height), while the Holy City,* New Jerusalem has three dimensions of creation - length, breadth and height (Rev 21:16). The earthly land grant to national Israel has two dimensions (length and breadth, Gen. 13:17). Battles to retake compromised territories in creation, as a result of rebellion and sin are mentioned in Rev. 12:7-9 for the 3rd Heaven and Rev 19:11-21 for the earth. There is no battle to retake The Fourth Dimension, for It is not part of creation and was not compromised by sin.

There is no beginning or end to God’s Secret Place in either time or space. There is an intense and Perfect Love throughout. All Majesty, Power, Holiness, Righteousness, Glory, Honor, Grace, Patience, Kindness, Longsuffering, Authority, Dominion, Mercy, Wisdom, Wealth and Beauty Abide "There" continually. It is a Perfect Realm of Perfect Communications,  Efficiency, and order, with no night in Its Exceeding Brightness. This Paramount Realm was only revealed when God’s Eternal Purpose was commenced in this present dispensation. It is deep within the space that our universe occupies such that we could say it is everywhere (Amos 9:2). It is Where Christ Jesus dwells in “the Light Which no man can approach unto” (1 Tim 6:16). It is where the church today has its Life hidden with Christ in God (Col 3:1-4; Eph. 2:6) and It is Where God “Stood” when He created the heavens and earth. It is the Secret Place of The Most High, Ps 91:1.

Before the beginning of the world or universe as we know it, while still in His Secret Place (and this is very important), God chose us believing Gentiles and predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself (Eph. 1:5). The use of the term “predestination” would not be necessary if not for the secrecy surrounding the Great Mystery, and the mystery of Christ. God uses this term in both programs to show that His Eternal Purpose (Bridegroom) and His Jewish heavenly callings (Bride) were not an afterthought or happenstance, but was His Main Purpose. The proper understanding of God’s Eternal Purpose is necessary to unlocking the great doors of the Revelation.

Knowing all of the problems in advance, God directed His Plans to achieve numerous purposes and thwart sin simultaneously. The “Map,” Plans, and Operational Strategy are found written in God’s Word. We learn when we study the Word of God extensively that what appears to be simple, mundane, down home verbiage is actually unimaginable Wisdom from the Triune God. The very fact that such Ingenious Programs have been devised is astounding; that they have been made to work simultaneously is even more astounding; and the fact that the whole operation is written in colloquial language, understandable by the masses, is overwhelming! People simply do not realize what they have in the Word of God!

When God created heaven and earth, He created Lucifer and gave him authority over creation.  Sin was found in Lucifer as he fell into pride and self exaltation. The only option for worship, besides God, was self. Lucifer regarded himself  above God and was involved in trafficking merchandise in his sanctuaries, and had great riches.

Ezekiel 28:13: “Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; . . . 14: Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain  of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. 15: Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. 16: By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. 17: Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. 18: Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.  19: All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.”

That’s why, thousands of years later, Jesus Christ was angry with the money changers, who were also trafficking merchandise in the sanctuary of the Temple in Jerusalem. He remembered when that same sin had been committed by someone He had Loved eons ago. That’s also why 1 Tim. 6:10 says, “the love of money is the root of all evil,” for the love of money caused the first sin ever in the world, and from that sin came all sin.

No creatures knew about God’s Secret Place. They knew from Psalm 91:1 that there was one, but they did not know where or what it was. As far as they knew, the vast expanse of the 3rd Heaven and the earth was all there was. Actually, God projected His Image (Appearance, Angel of the Lord) into the 3rd Heaven, but His Full Spirit Body filled the Fourth Dimension.

Some scholars say there was an overthrow or war following Lucifer’s rebellion, but preceding the creation of man. This view is held by Charles Welch and given credence by Lt.-Col. L. M. Davies, M. A., F.G.S., F.R.S.E, F.R.A.I; Mr. Thomas Fitzgerald; Dr. Paley, Regius Professor of Hebrew, Oxford University; John Harris, D.D., The Pre-Adamite Earth, and Man Primeval; The Rev. David King, LL.D., The Principles of Geology (2nd Edit.); The Rev. T. R. Birks, M.A., The Bible and Modern Thought; The Rev. Charles Herbert, M.A., Neology not New (2nd Edit.); The Rev. E. B. Clarence Larkin mentions the “Pre-Adamite Earth” in his book, where he says that demons are “supposed by many” to be disembodied spirits of those who inhabited that “Pre-Adamite Earth.” He says that these are the familiar spirits of the Old Testament and the seducing spirits which Paul warns of in the New Testament.  Apparently, many men of his day held this belief.

These and many others say the earth was made void and darkness was upon the face of the deep. Scriptures throughout the Bible seem to substantiate this idea, not the least of which is the use of the Greek word “kataballo” in Eph. 1:4, where it is translated “foundation.” A search of the use of kataballo in the Septuagint (LXX, the Greek translation of the Old Testament) gives even more proof as almost every occurrence of the word or its derivatives means destruction or a tearing down of some sort.*

The King James Bible is not in error; however, because the overthrow would have occurred during the foundation stage of the world. Regardless of the details of the rebellion of Lucifer, creation was left in a state of disrepair due to the presence of sin and due to the angels who joined Lucifer. Contamination due to sin (germs, death, disease, hell, etc.), as well as the angels of the rebellion, will be removed in the repair process of end-time prophecy. Vacancies left by those who rebelled will be filled by God’s Jewish callings. Our High calling has nothing to do with creation, nor the repair process; however, because we were chosen before the foundation of the world (Eph. 1:4; 2 Tim 1:9; Titus 1:2).

The timing of God’s operations is critical. He did not call Jewish programs for repair of the heavens and earth before a repair was necessary. Only after sin entered at the foundation of the world were the Jewish callings chosen. This is why heavenly and earthly Jewish callings are chosen from the foundation of the world. They could not have been chosen before the foundation of the world, because they are here for repair due to sin, which hadn’t occurred before the creation. If sin had not entered during the foundation stage, God could have used angels to accomplish His Eternal Purpose among men and there would have been no need for Israel. Sin has no value whatever, and God’s Purposes are accomplished in spite of and not because of it. Sin can be compared to a disease which attacks an organism, weakens it, causes it to generate antibodies, and is destroyed as a permanent immunity is achieved. However, it's lucicrous to say that sin is an asset just because God causes things to turn out right in the long run. Calvinists especially err here as they say sin was necessary and that God created it, erroneously citing Isaiah 45:7, in which the term "evil" means "calamity" and not sin, as seen in many kindred verses such as Jeremiah 4:6, 6:19 and 11:11.                                             

After God completes His Eternal Purpose for His Secret Place, end-time prophecy will be fulfilled  and His Jewish callings (from the foundation of the world) will be given the New Heaven and Earth. The old creation will have been destroyed. The great lesson of the ages will finally be clear to all living creatures - that the Lord God Alone gives to all creatures life and breath and full benefits therefrom; and that any departure toward self or any other creature can only bring loss and ruin. The natural order of the universe is that God is All and In All.

He Alone can make life completely perfect - joyful, fulfilling and full of Love. He Alone is the Utmost Fulfillment of all dreams and wishes of His creatures. Christ Jesus is the Dream of Dreams come true (as the only Giver of full happiness to the emotions). He is Perfect Love, but also All-Powerful and well able to Protect, Defend and Judge. It will be revealed to all creatures someday that God Abides continually in the Light of Glory which no natural man can approach unto, which Glory far exceeds all glories of the mightiest men of valor, heroes and true, who ever lived.*

God made Adam of the dust of the earth and breathed the spirit of life into him. He made Eve from Adam’s rib and told them to multiply, replenish and subdue the earth (Gen. 1:28) and to have dominion over fish, fowl and all living things. As we know, Adam failed. However, the second Man, the Lord from Heaven, succeeded (1 Cor. 15:47). As the Son of man, Jesus Christ has been fruitful in His Resurrection and has multiplied and replenished the earth through the New Birth in His Holy Spirit. He will subdue the 3rd Heaven in Rev 12:7-9 and the earth in Rev 19:11-21, and have dominion over all things (Psalm 8:1-8; Heb 2:6-10; Eph. 1:19-23).

Satan knew enough about God’s Eternal Purpose to know it involved a mate; therefore, he tried to disrupt or destroy every such program. After the flood, God gave Noah the same command He had given Adam. However, it wasn’t long before Noah’s sons (who formed the nations) tried to build the tower of Babel and also rebelled (Gen. 11:1-9; Rom. 1:21-32). This episode marks the start of Gentile rebellion and was brought about by sin. Without the entrance of sin, God could have initiated His Eternal Purpose at that time. Note: Satan cannot understand the "Things of the Spirit of God," because they are only seen through the Holy Spirit, Which Satan doesn't have. Therefore, he can't see what we see today, not having "eyes to see, nor ears to hear." cf. Eph. 3:10

We shall see later that God will “go full circle” and initiate His Eternal Purpose with this same type Gentile, under the same conditions (no Israel and no law, Col. 2:14; 3:11), except that it will be with His Holy Spirit. We will see this same contrast for Jews of the Old Testament (without His Holy Spirit) and Jews of the New Testament (with His Holy Spirit), to show the difference. God’s Eternal Spirit Body in the Fourth Dimension has no nationality or race; therefore, it is necessary that members of  His High calling have no specific race or nationality, for we are members of His Eternal Spirit Body (Col 3:11).

After the rebellion of Gentiles in Gen. 11, we know that God called Abraham in chapter 12 to be the father of the nation of Israel. We also know that God sent His law to them through Moses on their return from Egypt to the land God promised Abraham. However, the Gentiles of Genesis 11 had no law (and neither did Abraham in the next chapter, for Moses wasn’t born yet, also see Rom. 5:13, 14) and there was no Israel until after chapter 11. We Gentiles of the present age are in that same condition, technically, as there has been no Israel from A. D. 70 until A. D. 1948, and the nation that now is, is still lo-ammi. Also, the law has been nailed to the cross of Christ for us (Col 2:14) as far as salvation is concerned, but provides guidance for Godly living and blessing for rewards, both now and in eternity.

There must be a thousand questions by now. Please bear with us, as they will be answered as we proceed. In any book, the end is easy to understand if we know the beginning. This is why we have to start at the beginning to derive answers we will need for the Revelation. Also, much explanation is necessary for each topic covered, but it cannot all be done at once. Every topic mentioned in the earlier chapters will be fully covered as we proceed.

Technically, a search of the entire Bible reveals the law of Moses only being given to Israel. At no time did Gentiles come under the law, for they were (and are) carnal by nature and had rejected God as a nuisance to their lifestyle in Genesis 11 (as most have today). Also see Rom. 8:7. Ps 147:19, 20 says, “He sheweth his word unto Jacob, His statutes and His judgments unto Israel. He hath not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them.  Praise ye the LORD.”

 Even Gentiles who would later come to God through Israel, were not placed under the law of Moses, but were only given four ordinances (Acts 15:19-29). They were; however, under the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus after salvation (Rom. 8:1-4), which means keeping the law of God in Love through Christ’s Righteousness. This is important, for we will see that Jews and their Gentile “grafts” into the olive tree of Israel in the Revelation will keep the commandments this way and also have faith in Jesus Christ (Rev 12:17; 14:12).

God’s plan was to use Abraham’s seed (Israel) to repair damage and replace fallen angels in the 3rd Heaven and earth and to serve as a channel of blessing for the earthly calling of Gentiles. As such, Israel was placed above all nations of the earth (Exodus 19:5), and remained so until A. D. 61. During that time, God only blessed Gentiles who blessed Israel (Gen. 12:3). Throughout the Old Testament and into the early part of the New Testament, this condition prevailed, as reiterated by Christ Jesus Himself in Mt 15:26 and Jn 4:22. At no time were Gentiles allowed to approach the God of Israel directly during that period.

In Luke 7:1-10, there is an account of a Roman Centurion, who sent elders of the Jews to ask Jesus to heal his servant, who was dear to him. Notice that the Centurion had the right to send Jews, because God put them under Gentile rule in B. C.  606 (“I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me. And now have I given all these lands unto the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field have I given him also to serve him. And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son's son, until the very time of his land come: and then many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of him,” Jer. 27:5-7). However, the Centurion would not go himself, nor send his Gentile servants, because he knew he had to go through Israel to get to God (Jn. 4:22; Gen. 12:3). By doing it the right way, the Centurion’s servant was healed.

Don’t forget this important distinction between Jews and Gentiles, for it opens the door to many mysteries and the Revelation. While we may try to work around problems in the early New Testament caused by this distinction, it is wise to let the Scriptures themselves supply the answers, as God’s Plans and Programs are developed.

Another important point to remember is that God’s covenants with Abraham were everlasting and unconditional. No matter what circumstances may occur later, these covenants remain valid. If the conditional law of Moses is added, these unconditional covenants still prevail (Gal 3:17). If Jesus Christ offers the New Birth for the heavenly calling of Israel, these covenants remain valid for the earthly calling of Israel, to which they pertain (Rom. 11:26-29). They are everlasting.

However, when God initiated His Eternal Purpose, it took priority above these covenants, because it was made before there was a heaven, earth, Adam or Abraham (Eph. 1:4; 2 Tim 1:9; Titus 1:2). Therefore, the Abrahamic covenants are for Jews and associated Gentiles (Proselytes, slaves etc.) of the created earth and Heavenly callings and are not to be confused with God’s Eternal Purpose for His Uncreated Secret Place. 

When God called Abram (later Abraham) to form a mate from his children for the future earthly calling, evil princes tried to disrupt that program, perhaps thinking it was God’s Eternal Purpose. It seemed at times that all was lost as Israel frequently fell into sin and idolatry, but every episode served as an example for future use and revealed situations that would be repeated in the end time. The Holy Spirit was not in these Jews as He was after Acts 2, to give them Power to keep the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus (Rom. 8:1-4; Heb. 7:12-22; 8:10).
